Insight:
NIS2

The Network and Information Security directive, or NIS2 directive, is the successor to the older NIS directive. Adopted by the European Union (EU) and intended to improve the cyber security of essential services in EU member states. By 17 October 2024, Member States must have transposed this directive into law, but it is already clear that some countries will not meet that deadline. However, the expected impact is such that almost all organisations will be directly or indirectly affected.
At the same time, we should not exaggerate either: Brussels has not suddenly developed a new standard for cybersecurity measures. Companies already taking this issue somewhat seriously have come a long way. In this Insight, we will update you on this issue.
