Microsoft plans event to share AI announcements for OneDrive

Microsoft will devote a full event on Oct. 3 to its AI plans for its cloud storage OneDrive. It is already briefly announcing what we can expect from the event.

On Oct. 3, Microsoft will reveal what it still has in store for the public regarding AI for OneDrive. The event is titled “The future of file management” and will be live from the Teams meeting platform at 7 p.m. local time.

New look and search features

On the agenda are the announcement of a new look for OneDrive, as well as the announcement of various search and sharing features involving AI for cloud storage. In the video that was made as an announcement for the event, we still get the message “Help me get organized.”

The improvements will make finding a specific photo or document easier in the cloud storage. Since Microsoft has been trying to push Copilot to all users lately, it is likely that the Windows creator also wants to introduce OneDrive users to the AI assistant.

Before the Oct. 3 event, it is expected that the general public will already be able to get acquainted with Copilot in Windows 11. By annual custom, the tech giant’s operating system will get major changes and new features in September.
