Microsoft is expanding the generative AI capabilities of Dynamics 365 Copilot. With it, it aims to automate difficult tasks and allow employees to become more productive.
The expansion of generative AI functionality to more Dynamics 365 solutions makes sense. Earlier, Dynamics 365 Copilot was announced as a general tool for Microsoft’s ERP portfolio.
With the introduction of Copilot into Dynamics 365 solutions, employees should be able to accomplish their time-consuming tasks faster while gaining insights faster. This allows them to make faster and more intelligent decisions for various supply chains.
The generative AI tool Copilot is now available for Dynamics 365 Finance, Dynamics 365 Project Operations and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
Integration with Power BI and Excel
For Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, the tech giant will introduce even more Copilot functionality. To achieve this, large amounts of data are often available, and it takes a lot of time to chop them into small pieces for better interpretations.
Combining Copilot functionality and tools such as Power BI and Excel should help bring this data “more to life” via natural language. Among other things, Copilot should generate a Microsoft Power BI dashboard or report for this purpose, including visualizations and summaries, and help refine it. It does this by asking questions through the data. Copilot then helps find the right answer.
